Welcome to the forum! I, too, am a relatively new Ragdoll Mommy. My two are 3 1/2 months old. My vet has already advised me to start flea prevention-even though I have not nor will I ever let my two go outside.
I'm sorry you have fleas. They can be a nightmare to get rid of but you have been given lots of good advice and hopefully it will help. I used to take all the animals to the groomer for the day and have them give them flea baths and then I would bomb the apartment with flea killer on the same day. You really should treat the home as well.

Hi and welcome to the forum!! Tons of wonderful people here!!
Regarding the fleas. 12 years ago I rescued a Persian who supposedly had an allergy to "something" because she scratched and got sores. I suspected fleas but they said no....I looked through her fur and could not find anything. Continued to try cooking her food, changing her food. To no avail. Took her to the vet and immediately he said, "she has fleas and is allergic to them"(even though I couldn't see them.) The poor cat was absolutely miserable and would go off by herself. He put Advantage on her and voila, no more scratching, wounds, and I now had a very happy cat. I have been using it for 12 years and no problems. I too don't use it every 4 weeks. more like 5 - 6 weeks. If you don't let her outside, chances are you won't have to use it after you eliminate the fleas inside.
Good Luck,
Catherine
Welcome to the forum
I agree with JanH, I use Frontline combo, it prevents or helps to remove fleas and their eggs on the cat and on the environment
I hope your flea problem is resolved.
I just wanted to point out that we are surrounded by and survive on chemicals every day. Oxygen is a chemical, you are bathing your cat in H20- a chemical.
Just because something is natural does NOT make it better or even safe- belladonna, hemlock, mandrake, nightshade, peyote, marijuana, opium... would you treat your animal with any of these because they are ~natural~?
Even ALOE VERA is toxic to both cats and dogs.
I hope you find a safe solution, but just remember ~natural~ doesn't necessarily mean better OR safer, nor does a ~chemical~ solution mean that it is inherently more dangerous in any way.

Hello! I am a fairly new Ragdoll Mommy to a gorgeous Seal Point Mitted Lynx girl that I named Eloise. She is 7 months old and the love of my life.
She eats all natural foods and I give her pro-biotics as well as vitamins... with all that said, she has a problem. She has fleas. I bathe her in all natural shampoos to kill the fleas but as soon as she dries off the fleas come back. My home is not infested, only her. I am at the end of my rope and do not know how to help her. I refuse to use chemicals on her but I am also afraid the fleas are going to cause her major damage as well.
Any advice would really be appreciated!!
Hi! Welcome, and hope you will have a great time with your ragdoll, and us!
