The vets took many xrays and very nicely only charged me for one. Nothing is wrong with his hips or back, but I am sure glad we checked because if something like that goes left untreated then it could get much worse.

A specialist came to see Solo and it turns out he has severe muscle cramping in his lower back and one of his legs. Strange, I have no idea how he could have done this. The doctor said its very painful and asked if I have ever had a "charlie horse" cramp before, which I have (OWW), and basically that is what he has. Solo got some pain meds and anti inflammatory, as well as a calcium supplement. I am so relieved nothing is wrong with his bones!

However, they also looked at his lungs. You guys may remember a previous post I made about him coughing and hacking, I even put a video up of it. They strongly suspect that he actually has asthma Sad
I'm glad nothing is wrong with his hips or back and asthma is manageable thankfully. Hope he feels better soon!
I can only imagine how worried you have been through all of this. Glad that the vet was able to find the issue. Good wishes for Solo's speedy and complete recovery!
I hope Solo is on the mend now. Perhaps he was just extra active and pulled a muscle on that new tree.

I remember the video you put up with him hacking and I too thought it looked like asthma. I hope they get to the bottom of it.

Hang tough mom......sending good wishes your way.
Thanks everyone! Solo is still limping, but very slightly. He is able to climb up his tree and run around again, so he is feeling much better. We are going to the vet again for a follow up on his leg in 2 days and they are also going to further investigate the asthma.
I'm happy to hear Solo is slowly getting better. I hope he will be back to himself soon.
I'm so glad Solo is doing better. I hope his asthma is easily managed too.

Thanks everyone! When we go back in for a follow up I will update about the asthma. If his leg isn't much better the vet is going to possibly try acupuncture.
I hope all continues to get better.
Sorry Solo is having such a bad day. I hope he feels better soon!
