I have a couple of ragdolls that have blue eyes but in certain lighting they look light mint green or aqua. I have also noticed depending on their mood or the size of their pupils their eyes look different shades. I am looking at a kitte who's eyes look mint green aqua up close but from a distance or in certain lighting it looks light blue. Has anybody else come up against this?
That's interesting. I've never noticed anything like that in my girls - they're just always blue.
The blue varies a bit, but I figured that was just lighting. (The avatar photo shows Sam's eyes to be a much richer colour than they are!)
Thank you. I am attaching some pics (I hope it works..lol) to show what I mean. Both cats now have blue eyes but there are still days when they look a little green like they used to (depending on the lighting).
They do look greenish to me in some of those photos. Quite strange! My boy's eyes always have been a stunning blue, and unfortunately they ALWAYS want to glow red in his pictures.

The funny thing is both the kittens in the pics above are now 1 year old and both have beautiful bright sky blue eyes (they are more of a light blue but they are beautiful). Thank you all for your replies!
I managed to get a pic of the actual kitten I was talking about to show what I mean...this is the kitten. Her eyes look greenish grey to me, but in certain lights they become light blue. She is a blue mitted. Her father is a mitted blue point high bi-colour (his parents were 2 mitted) and her mother is a blue colourpoint. I know she is a purebred..but I'm just concerned about the eye colour. The other pics I had up where of my current ragdolls when they were younger.

My brother's blue point Ragdoll girl has very light blue eyes. I haven't noticed it myself, but he and his wife say her eyes can change, depending on her mood.

Teddy's eyes are a light blue and the shade varies also.
My eyes are a lighter blue also and change a little in shade with my moods
I've only noticed different shades of blues and mostly due to lighting. Sounds very pretty.

Mink Ragdolls are supposed to have aqua eyes.
