Hi to all Smile

Just a quick question.

I know that it takes roughly 4 years for a Ragdoll to reach maturity.

What I would like to know is at what age do they tend to reach their 'real weight and size'? Give or take a bit more growing in the last few years?
well my boy is 8 months and 4kg and from what i understand he still has a bit of growing to do,
Like most things, this varies from cat to cat and "family" to "family," but a bit over a year is the period for rapid growth.
I think my boys might be big. Zeke is 11.2# and Mykah is 10.8 and they are almost 9 months and 71/2 months. They sure are growing into wonderful cats.

I guess we all have to wait and see how big our furbabies get.

Jan,
Are you saying that they tend to have a growing spurt after a year?
ohhhh that is so exciting!!!! My baby is on the small side at 10 months.
My Sam's 4kg (lean, on a large frame) at 2.5 years and I doubt he'll get much heavier. He's not from a particularly 'solid' line.
Dexter is almost 7 months and weighs 8.5 pounds. I know that probably seems smallish for rags but he doesn't look small! He has a nice round tummy on him Smile I hope he hits a growth spurt soon and gets huge, lol!!
That is small since mine are bigger. Mykah is 7 months and 10.8. The vets assistant wanted to put them on adult food so they do not get too big and I said not yet. I do know that Zeke's parents are big even the mother but Mykah's was smaller but I think he may pass Zeke up.

Very interesting
That can happen, but I meant that rapid growth tends to end by that time, with slow growth over the following years.
Thanks good to know. Otherwise my boys might be giants.
