Paulagene Wrote:That is small since mine are bigger. Mykah is 7 months and 10.8. The vets assistant wanted to put them on adult food so they do not get too big and I said not yet.

I wonder why the assistant would want to curtail their growth. Adult food will not stop them from growing into the size they will become. Blue is a year tomorrow and he is 15 lbs. I need a crane to lift him, and am now glad he is not a lap cat!
I was shocked when Bubba weighed 8.9 lbs at the vet at 5 months. I knew he was really long, but I didn't think he was that heavy.
Judy I think it may be she does not understand the breed. Now the vet has not said anything about it and so until he does then we stick with kitten food at least for a bit.

It is weird is all I know and as I have read on here is how I knew we really should not. So it pays to read. I guess they said that someone else now has a ragdoll that goes there. Better go as I am tired.
wow kat bubba is gonna be huge.

so pounds wise titan is 8.6 at 8 months.
My Jasper is 12lbs and he will be a year old in just under 2 weeks. Jake is 9lbs and he is about 21 months old.

Jake is from a big line (The Kyeema Cats are apparently huge) and he was huge for his age as a kitten but he stopped growing and is now on the smaller size. He is completely healthy though, just not a big boy like Mr Jaz. Smile
Ok I figured by the end of their first year the growth would slow - it has to!!! LOL

Yeah, I think around the year old mark is where their grow starts to slow down dramatically.
Teddy is just nine pounds, but his mom and dad aren't huge. I saw his brother at the cat show two weeks ago and I think Teddy is actually a bit bigger than him. It really depends a lot on the lines.
