Does any one know of any Registered Ragdoll breeders or Ragdoll owners who live local to me? I would love to visit and know more about breeding.
I Live in Dunstable, Bedforshire. UK

Also do any American Breeders export kittens to the UK. If so how is it done?
American Ragdolls seem to be alot chunkier is that true?
American ragdolls are generally larger. european breeders also want em that big, but generally european ragdolls are a little smaller. The look is also generally slightly different.
Breeders do export and each country has different requirements. Your consulate or the equivalent of the USDA office would know what is needed. Depending upon travel time some breeders do not ship as the kitten may be confined for too long in a crate. Each situation is different and needs to be addressed on an individual basis.

Different lines can and do produce different looking cats as far as size, boning, etc. Even within the USA.
Ok, I know everyone says that US ragdolls are bigger, but I swear, I've seen them in both countries and the UK ones I've seen all seem bigger than the US ones. Don't know why that is. Maybe I just visit people with big raggies????

Thanks for your replies everyone, I think Coco is going to be a reasonable size, she is nearly 5 months old and weighs 5lbs 2oz, although she does seem to be really long and slender with a good tail length. I just love there tails they're great aren't they?

I need a kitty sitter when I go on vacation. I cant possibly leave them with George there... he eats sooooo much food that even if I fill a HUGE bowl of food, chances are that even just 24 hours later it'll be gone because of that pig lol.
send george here amanda.
we would love to look after george Tongue

plus titan is the biggest guts too so they will get along great.
Hi Louise

I breed in Matlock Bath, Derbyshire, about 2 hours from you and you are welcome to come and see me and my gang any time. As far as size goes, I have 2 neutuered boys aged 2 and they are both big, (over a stone each) the girls aren't bad for size either. You will find that British breeders are trying to breed more for size now as they did get small for a while a few years ago, also, the 'new' colours, like your tortie and the reds do tend to be smaller.

I have only been breeding for 3 years and my queen Lola had her third litter this morning but I am more than happy to share any knowledge I now have and love the opportunity to show off my babies!! Smile
