Does anyone else have a problem with their kittens tipping over their water dishes? Solo has ALWAYS done this, I swear he just gets a kick out of it and does it for fun. Its kind of funny that he does this, its like he is a mischievous/curious little puppy, although I would like to put a permanent end to it.
I solved the problem temporarily by getting a nice and heavy auto dispensing water dish, and just came to realize that once it gets down to about 1/4 full it is tip-able again.
Any suggestions? Any one else have a water dish tipper?
i think most of the automated stuff is just plastic. Is a regular, maby a little heavy ceramic dish an option?
I had a ceramic dish at first, he would tip it over every time I refilled it which gets annoying having water on my hard wood all the time. I did get a placemat with a rim which helped, but water would still overflow out of that onto the floor.
Right now I am using a plastic auto filler thing, its not one of the fountains it is just the water version of the plastic automatic food dish.
Maby one of those would work, rubber ring around the bottom, think those are difficult to move for them.
Those skid resistant bowls in the large dog size are pretty untippable. We use that style, but do not have anyone who tries to tip bowls.
Frankie used to tip the supposedly 'none tippable ' bowls like the one in tranquils post, he did it on a daily basis. I changed over to a heavy ceramic bowl and he never bothers to try tipping that one! Crazy or what!
Was it a small non slip bowl or one of the big dog bowls?

It was a medium sized bowl, about 6/7" diameter. The one he uses now, is 5" diameter, ceramic.
Thanks for the idea guys! Has anyone ever used one of these?

I am considering one...because turns out Solo's food dish is a 5 or 6" diameter nonskid aluminum pet food dish because he was tipping his food dish as well, he still moves it around somehow but no longer is able to tip it. Because he can still move it around, I am not going to use one as his water dish since I am sure water will still slosh out.
