I have found a humane mouse trap that is called the Mouse Cube. It looks like a little cage that the mouse walks into. However, a little door is tripped and he can not get out. I could let the mouse out in the cow pasture behind my house or across the road. However, my concern is that the mouse would get right back into the house. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Whether the released mouse comes back in or just another mouse comes in, it is probably going to be the same time between "invasions" in either case. The only way to avoid them is to find out how they get in and seal it (or, most likely, them), although that can be impossible since mice only need a tiny opening.
I would take it a mile down the road.
But Jan is right you need to know were there getting in at.
Mice have a natural aversion to mint, and will generally avoid it. You could try Plant it around the exterior of your house as a deterrent as well as potting some around your home. Not only will they keep mice away, but they'll freshen the air as well. Ahhh. Spearmint seeds can be had in garden centers or ordered online.
