Saturday morning started out at Jenny Armour's in Wirksworth, where she kindly allowed us to spend the night at her house (I'll post pics of her kitties in the gallery)

Then we headed off to York -- but first, must program the satnav:

York was beautiful, and the food terrific! We ate at a place called Russell's - a wonderful "carvery", then walked around York. The York Minster just lovely!!!

We left York and headed towards Scarborough to meet MaryMN, Mistral and Freddie. It was a truly lovely visit - and Mary lives in such a great place! (pics of Mistral and Freddie will be put in the gallery)

More on our trip on another thread....
Oh ladies, I do apologise for my awful photo!!! I don't like having my pic taken as I sort of 'freeze' and turn out looking angry!! I'm not, honest!1Smile I loved every minute of T and Sue's visit! Can't believe T's inflicted two on you!! One would have been enough! Lovely pics of York and Scarborough, though. Glad you made it to the sea! Our coastline really is beautiful, especially between here and Whitby when all the purple heather is out.
I hate pictures too... I always look so... dumb Big Grin
You had such a nice weather and the place looks so great... Well that's an idea for my vacation next year Smile
I must say (and I hope I don't upset you Mary), that those pics truly don't look like Mary. She is such a beautiful lady and her great personality just didn't come through in those pictures - but I couldn't resist the one with, and without the cats....hey, count yourself lucky, I could have posted all of the pics I took, LOL -- remember how many????
same here with regards to the photo. i look like my lips have been frozen and plastered, makes all your neck stand out. lovely to see you again t and i am so glad i met sue at last. pity it wasnt for longer though
More wonderful photos! It's great to see you're all having such good visits (even if you don't like photos of yourselves - lol).
What a gorgeous town. I would love to live there.
And those kitties are so nice.
Yet more beautiful photos! I'm glad you got to see the sea Teresa, and at night too. Mary, you're right, the coastline between Scarborough and Whitby is glorious when the heather is in bloom, I love that part of the country.
Great pics, Mary i heard what a great time Teresa and Sue had at your house, they said they never stopped laughing !!
Looks like a wonderful time you all are having!....make me smile to read the updates
