Hi everyone my name is victoria and i am from calgary alberta canada and i am the new owner of a seal point mitten ragdoll cross(so i think people said she could be a purebred. As well as her adorable little daughter i didnt know she had inside of her who me and my fiance think will be a blue lynx mitten. Our cat and kittens name are Bella(for mama) and solo for the kitten. Its quite the story on how i got bella(her name was nermal before we got her) and very long too. So i will keep it short and makes me pretty mad everytime i tell someone how i got bella and solo. Bella was born july 17th 2008(poor girl had two litters before she turned a year old) and solo was born september 17 2009(pretty funny that its the same day)
Here are a couple pictures of bella and solo.

Welcome to the forum! There are some really great people here. Bella and Solo are adorable!
I am glad to be on this forum since i have been looking for a nice forum with helpful people that know the ragdoll breed as this is the first time i have had this breed of cat before. I also have a 7 year old domestic long hair who was rescued off the street at just 4 weeks old by my fiance and hes been with us ever since and two dogs a chihuahua/miniature pinscher and a purebred cocker spaniel so we have quite the house full. We do rescue on our own at certain times and foster for a rescue organzation. Thank you very much

Hello and welcome to the forum. Bella is just lovely and how sweet is Solo!! How wonderful of you to rescue Bella (although if relating her to the ragdoll breed, I think she would be a blue lynx bicolor - if you look at my sig -- Simone is a seal point mitted) I do hope you'll share their story with us at some time.
Welcome! If you ever feel ready to share the story of how you got Bella, we'd love to hear it. She's a very lucky cat to have been rescued by you! She looks like a seal torbie mitted (torbie=tortie+tabby (lynx)) based on the red on her nose and forehead

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes for me and my fur babies. I am not to worried on her coloring all i know is that she is a gorgeous little girl though it would really be nice to know. Here is the story of how i became the mama to solo and bella.
Bellas old owner was selling bellas daughter from a previous litter(I have no idea how many she has had because solo was the only kitten-hence the name) but when i replied the lady had told me she was promised to another family(though me and my fiance think she kept the kitten for herself) the lady is a self-proclaimed veternarian assistant but yet she had bella, bellas daughter, bellas sister and bellas mom and brother. None of them had shots or are even neutered(she also had a dog but i never saw him or her but i am fearful the dog doesnt have shots or is fixed either) well we think bellas brother was the one that was breeding to her as he was the only male in the home. So we have no idea what issues solo will have in the future because of this(this is also why we are keeping her) I had gotten my fiance to go as i was quite sick that day so he and his older brother went to go and get bella(from certain things they saw they think she is a back-yard kitten breeder as well as her and her boyfriend sell drugs) since they were unable to go into the home they had to wait on their sidewalk for her boyfriend to bring bella out. She also had told me bella was a terrible mother and tried to eat her baby but i dont see any of that with solo she is very sweet and protective of her specially around males(she has bitten, hissed and scratched at both my fiance and his brother) We had only had her for two weeks before i had gone into check on her and heard a faint soft meowing of a kitten and i had looked everywhere for the sound until i saw something move under our sparebeds blankets so i lifted them up and found bella with a newborn kitten. I was amazed at only seeing one kitten(i have had rescues 1 was a purebred siamese she had 4 kittens and another had 6 kittens) We recently took both of them to the vet and found out bella had a horrible case of ear mites(we actually got to see the mites under a scope) so she had to get a dose of revolution for them and thankfully her ears are much better. As soon as solo is weaned bella will go for her shots and get fixed and as soon as solo is old enough she will get her shots too then when she is 6 months she will get fixed too.
Wow, the poor things. Bella and Solo look very sweet. Good for you for giving them a loving home.
I was very glad i was sick that day or she would have gotten an ear full from me. This is why i love to rescue all different animals and none of my animals have come from a breeder(except my moms dog she is a champion show/breeder who was retired after 5 litters and needed a emergency c-section) though i would love to get another ragdoll from a breeder. They are both super super sweet little kittens specially bella she is very cuddly.
Just look at that angel face. I am so grateful for you rescuers. My daughter has started several no kill shelters in PA, and I admire her very much. By the way, we have never told her that Bubba was adopted from a breeder. She'd come unglued if she know he wasn't rescued.
