Debbie passed away (in her sleep) in September 2008, at the 'old' age of 7 years.

She was a cheeky little bugger.
We were afraid the cats would hurt her, but it was the other way around.
She didn't really hurt any of the cats, but she loved the play with their tails.

If they left her alone, or simply ignored her, she would nip at them until they agree to playtime.

Awwww!! I have had 4 ferrets, so i feel for your loss. Debbie was a cutie. I'm glad she got along with your kitties--maybe debbie thought she was a kitty herself? Again, i'm sorry for your loss )-:
Thank you frog.
It was a sad day, but Debbie passed in her sleep, which was a blessing.

You mentioned that you had 4 ferrets. All at once or one after another?

I wrote a long story, or a mini book whatever you prefer, about Debbie's life, which at one point I will share with you.
I had my first ferret, McGee for 4 years, until he passed from cancer of the adrenal glands. Then we got three more ferrets, 2 boys, Ricky and Fred, and an albino little girl, Lucy (of course). They have gone on too, but I think that ferrets are under-rated, they are such funny little clowns!! I would absolutley love to hear Debbie's story, whenever you feel you would like to share (-:
Oh ferrets are clowns for sure Frog.
The way Debbie used to dance and prance was hilarious.

She also used to steal and carry things away. Anything from the remote control to pens.
Anything that wasn't too hot or too heavy was hers.

She specialized in stealing cookies and chocolate though.
She had an unbelievable sweet tooth.

As for sharing the story, sure I'll share the first few pages with the board.
The rest of it will published as a childrens book.
I'm sorry for your loss of Debbie -- I'm not sure I've ever really seen a ferret in "person" as a pet -- only in pet stores.
we odnt have ferrets
they sound cool
i want a ferret
AWW!! I "m sorry for your loss Conny,You can get so attached to those little guys.
We had a Ferret years ago Stinky was his name and what a wonderful little companion he made for my boys when they were young. We spent many nights being entertained by Stinky.
What a pretty lady she was Smile

I never had a ferret but all I hear about them is very positive Smile
Thank you all for your comments.
Debbie was indeed a pretty lady, an entertainer, and above all a first rate thief.
