nicky263 Wrote:Hi Mary, so sorry to hear Frankie is poorly... - I'd strongly support Teresa with increasing wet food in Frankies diet - I'd like to ask a question to get more insight into his case if I may.
Are you using a clumping litter? - If so with one cat you surely can tell the amount of wees you find during 24h? - mine are fed wet and raw food only and each of them does at least 4-5 wees during 24h.
Please give this a thought - if he does have dry kibble (24/7) and does not drink enough his urine will be more concentrated and stay a lot longer in his bladder adding to the problem of infection if there is one, than when he's fed a big amount of wet food - fluids do the trick...
Wishing Frankie a speedy recovery....
Hi Nicky,
as I said in an earlier post, I do use a clumping litter and as I also said, I do know how often he goes normally, which is 2/3 times a day and his food is 50/50 wet and dry ,he isn't a big eater and I don't feel he eats that much dry really. I have recently increased his wet food and have been adding water to the gravy, he eats it ok, but it hasn't made any difference to his peeing. yesterday it was only once in 24 hrs , previous day it was 3 times!
Hi Mary,
Does Frankie seem himself otherwise? I hope it's just a blip and he'll be back on track soon.

Yes Coral, he is. Nicky obviously came late to the thread and hadn't taken on board that I had already answered the questions she asked.
Hello Mary,
I'm sorry Frankie is ill again. How is he today? It's such a worry when there's anything wrong with them. Like Teresa said on the thread about Freddie, we want them better straight away!
Hugs to you both.

Thanks Mary. frankie is fine in himself, has been all along, just his peeing is a bit erratic! All his tests have been satisfactory and he is eating fine. He will go this week for another urine test, just to see if the PH balance has returned to normal after his antibiotic shot, as it was slightly raised last week.
How it Freddie doing? Is he back to nornal? As you say, we worry for them when anything seems amiss!
Hi Mary,
I'm glad Frankie is ok in himself. Hope everything's ok when you go to vet.
Freddie is much better now, but doesen't play like he used to. All he seems interested in is food!! Don't know what T and sue will make of my two! They are so unsocialable!!!
