You're right. Their vet left me a voicemail today; her opinion is it is probably anxiety, but I will be calling her during her scheduled consultation time on Monday to discuss the possibility of trying antibiotics. I found what looked to be a very good enzymatic cleaner today (I had some that i have used before, but I never really liked them). I also added another box on the other end of the house.
Atrus seems to -like- the kitten at least. I can't really tell. They play in the ways other people have described playing (when they want to know if it's play or fighting), but Atrus is so much bigger than Tesla that i am concerned. They chase and stalk each other and when Atrus loses track of where the kitten has gotten to, he waits and meows for him. Tesla is consistently trying to rub up on Atrus and Atrus will tolerate it and lick him, but sometimes he'll start licking him and then it turns to biting. Not really biting, I guess, the kitten doesn't make any sad or hurt sounds and Atrus just looks to be closing his mouth on him rather than biting. Atrus has knocked him down and rolled him over and made him squeak
but then they get separated. I don't put them together that much or for too long. I can tell Atrus still needs some peace and quiet and when the kitten is with him he insists on following it around if it leaves the room. And now Tesla is climbing on my keyboard so I better stop typing.
