I'm very glad to hear Solo can be treated easily and it's not asthma. You must be feeling better!
In terms of feeding Solo, do you feed him dry only? You might find that his weight stays on track if you add some wet food to his diet and regulate his kibble amounts (meaning measure it out and not refill the bowl whenever it's empty). Just a thought...

If I refilled his bowl whenever empty he definitely would over eat. He is a little pig! And when I give him wet food he eats it so fast as if he is starving. I really hesitate to keep filling his bowl whenever empty....but maybe that would teach him he doesn't have to scarf his food down so fast?

We've always been free feeders (dry). Our first raggie was a huge pig and super fast eater and began to vomit nearly after every meal. It was like she was afraid to leave it as others would eat it. Teresa suggested to slow her down, put a golf ball in her bowl. That did the trick as she had to eat around it. Much less of a piggy and no more vomitting. I left it there for several months (always washing it when I washed her bowl) and then one day decided to remove it. She never gorged nor vomitted after that.
