Mary, in response to your question- yes, they get along great! They're littermate brothers, so there was never an adjustment period or any heirarchy struggles-- though I have no basis for comparison of whether this is usual or if they get along exceptionally well even for littermates.
When they were kittens they were practically joined at the hip, and although they don't play together or cuddle together as often as they did when they were younger they still chase each other, wrestle, and/or groom each other several times a day, or just hang out together looking out of my sliding glass door at the squirrels and birds. And they are always in the same room as each other, although I don't know if that's because of each other or because they're both always in the same room as me!
