I am just curious. We use Worlds Best Cat Litter, which we love. The clumps are easy to dispose of, and the litter lasts a very long time. I have a very high tolerance for mess. I better ,with 4 dogs, 2 cats and our parrot. However, I love clean, crisp sheets. Both cats and some dogs sleep with us every night, and by the second night our sheets have kitty litter grit on them. It's like sleeping in sandy sheets and it drives me crazy. At this point I am changing the sheets every other night and that drives me crazy as well.
Does anyone else have this problem with their litter?
Thanks.
This may be more of a problem with World's Best because it is light and may be carried farther before it drops off. Sometimes this issues is dealt with by litterboxes that the cat has to jump in and out of, which is more likely to cause the litter to drop off. There are also ramps and mats, but I am not sure they are very effective.
i seem to have this problem too but it doesnt get on my sheets its just all on the floor.
it is annoying.
but that must be extremely annoying for u to change the sheets every second day.
I use the Worlds Best as well, but have never had this problem. Our cat box has a ramp, and we also have a mat near the box to keep the litter from traveling too far.
Although there is some risk in it, you might try moving the litterboxes farther from the bed if all of the cats are adults.
This happens to me sometimes too. I've resorted to putting a throw blanket on top of my bed and just washing that once or twice a week. They don't sleep under my covers (lol) so it seems to be a good solution for us. Hope you figure something out! Smile
Hi Judy,

I use a clay clumping litter, and it does the same thing. I even have a litter mat in front of the box and somehow Teddy manages to carry litter from here to eternity. Wink I think those cute little toe tufts our Raggies are blessed with are part of the problem. lol

Thanks everyone. I think part of the problem is also, they throw the litter outside of the box onto the floor. Blue does not cover his stuff, so he swipes the outside where the litter has collected on the floor. I will try and move the box further away, and thanks for the advice. Much appreciated.
The multi cat formula ( worlds best kitty litter) Has a diffrent consistancy and works 100% better at not getting all over the house. I was going crazy with the grit on ( and in) my bed untill i switched. I have a mat and a ramp, and still the dust was flying everywhere. Multi cat formula has drastically reduced the white cloud and little grits all over my bedding.
Good luck
I didn't realize there was a multi cat formula. I will check that out immediately. Was there any trouble in switching your cats, or is it pretty much the same formula?
