It's been several months since I've been here and wanted to say Hello. I've received two messages from members in the past two weeks and decided they were right and I needed to come back.
First, I'd like to apologize for my blow up before I left. I was extremely frustrated with the way Dolly turned out (not so stereotypically Ragdollish) and just vented unnecessarily.

Now for a quick update, as I'm actually working and really shouldn't be here.
Dolly will be two years old in March and is still the light brown color she was when we got her. Many thought she'd get darker... But no. She starting to change again and seems to be entering a new phase in her personality. She ABSOLUTELY LOVES to be brushed! If she hears Maddy being brushed she comes running and tries to nuzzle in. She likes to be pet on the head and on her sides for short periods of time... But still does not like to be held or pet too much. On occasion she jumps on the bed and will sleep for an hour or so with us. And, for the first time in Many months she actually woke me up at about 6 with a kiss. Her Breath is still Horrible though, smelling like rotten fish! She still, from time to time has Potty issues, not pinching it off good enough and walking around, a bit of blood sometimes thats mucusy and drips on her fur, stuff like that.
Oh... And Lately, she's started just walking around making these little meows like she's worried about something or just looking for us and usually a pet on the head and back makes her ok... I guess she is just looking for us. She also comes running into the kitchen and starts meowing a lot, like she's begging but just wants to SEE what I'm cooking and then walks away. I've tried giving her some, but she's never interested.
As for Madison (Maddy), The little calico we adopted.... She's the most AMAZING cat we've ever had! She has MORE Ragdoll Qualities than Dolly. The Both Follow us around the house and need to be near us, But Maddy Always wants to be picked up or held. She also spends ALL night, EVery night on the bed with us! She's just not happy unless we are both in bed with her. If one of us stays up later, she comes running in the room and cries all nervous like she thinks somethings wrong because we're NOT both in bed.
She Doesn't so much Meow as Whines. She makes the funniest whining noises with the most Human intonations! You always know what she's trying to say! AND she LOVES Belly Kisses! She Does the "Ragdoll Flop" More often than Dolly! If she's on the floor laying on her side and you say " Want Belly Kisses?" She quickly rolls on to her back and stretches her legs out and closes her eyes!
Oh yeah.. ANd she has that little pad of fat like a ragdoll too!
From what we can tell, from different books and sites, is she's part Turkish Angora. Her fur is So soft and Silky, where Dolly's is Soft, Downy and staticy.
But the two of them Are Still Best Buds! The run all over the house together and often sleep curled up together. If we are trimming Maddy's nails and she whines that she wants down, Dolly comes running to her rescue.
Both of them LOVE the Shower and watching the Toilet Flush.
Both of them are, in their own ways, the best cats we've ever had! Are there things about both we'd change? Sure, but I'd NEVER consider getting rid of either one! They're our Girls and we Love them to death.
I Promise to get pictures of them up soon.
Hope everyone is good and to talk to you all too

Hi Gregg,

It's nice to see you're back. I don't think we've "met" on the forum before, but I've seen photos of Dolly and she's gorgeous. I'm biased though as I have a blue bi-color male named Teddy. Wink

Just thought I'd ask if she's seen a vet about her fishy breath and poop issues. The breath problem could be gingivitis or another dental issue. My Teddy had very bad fishy breath awhile back and it turned out he had inflamed gums from the calicivirus, resulting in having to have seven teeth pulled. Hopefully it's nothing serious, but I would definitely have her teeth and mouth checked by the vet. Thankfully I haven't had (fingers and toes crossed!) poop problems with Teddy, but I know others have with their Raggies and it's no fun for the cats or their owners. She may have a sensitivity to her food. Just a thought...

Again, welcome back and we look forward to photos of Dolly and Maddy (she sounds wonderful too).

Coral
Hi, and welcome back. I do remember you on here but no outburst or anything to have to apologized for. Hey you know Teresa if you do not post she sends out a search party...HER and of course she wants those photos.

Who is doing our signatures...For me it is Teresa. In fact this is a new one I just got and I love it! She amazes me how she can do so many and none the same.

Well welcome and will be looking for new photos and stories..
