I'm sure nothing is wrong with your kittens, you probably just came across a scarcely collaborative (or, in other words, rather unpolite, IMO) breeder, but for the peace of your mind I would definitely telephone her. You could tell her that your PC is all at once out of order and that you want to know if everything is OK with your fund and the kittens. White lies. For a good cause!
UPDATE: I sent the breeder an e-mail asking for confirmation that she had received my payment. Also, within that e-mail I asked how Gabriel and Gabbie were doing. The breeder e-mailed me and said that "Gabriel and Gabbie are doing wonderfully".
That makes me feel so much better just to hear how they are doing.
I'm glad you did finally get an update -- too bad it didn't come with pictures!! (I know, I'm never satisfied!!)
I wish breeders would be more considerate in this area. I have found a lot are real quick to respond initially but it seems once they have their money or they don't have what you are looking for they just shut you out. Really sad. I know they are not all like this but the ones that are really make it hard on people who are so extremely excited while waiting for their kittens and just want a little reassurance that their kitten is well and they have indeed chosen the best breeder for themselves.
