As some of you have read in my intro I am not a Ragdoll owner yet. However, I plan to become one in the near future. My question is about electrical cords. Hardware stores have the foam tubing that can be wrapped around cords in an effort to "hide" them. Are there any other ideas that might be better for protecting my future Ragdoll against electrical cords in the home?

This is one reason it is a good idea to keep a newcomer in a small area where you can observe using cords that are in place, but unplugged. Some will bother cords and others will not. It seems that the cords hanging in midair are the most attractive and just running the cord down the leg of the table may be enough to let it be ignored. The cord organizers - and there are various types - are a good way to cover cords to avoid risks. (The breeder may also know if the kitten has shown interest in cords, which does not mean it cannot change, but may guide you about how far to go in advance of the kitten coming home.)
Maddy not only loved cords, she loves the recepticles too. I had to put those baby caps in there and that seemed to help. She's now leaving them all alone but still gets a bit of scolding on cords. My computer mouse is about to become wireless......as the movement below seems to call her.....lol.
Haaha I agree with this advice & my girl STILL will chew on fine electrical cords (im on my 4th mobile phone charger)!
But when they are little- they only need a small space- ie bathroom/ laundry. But kitten proofing is essential pre kitten. I hid all big cords where possible & always supervised when she was in living area's. I used foams to block small places ie- side of fridge. Hope this helps.
