I didn't know they had to stay with moms til 13 weeks, She was born June 2 so I guess she is 9 1/2 weeks, she is real playful and seeems to be adjusting well. I GOT HER FROM CAJUN RAGDOLLS in West Lake Louisiana. About an hr. drive from where I live. Her cattery was clean and they all seemed healthy. i am still working on getting some pics of her to show everyone. Thanks
congratulations on bringing your baby home Smile i can't wait to see pictures of her either!!

I live in Queensland in Australia and i'm pretty sure the age limit is 8 weeks to let them go. Different in other states i think??

Although, after researching more and more ragdoll breeders in my area, they all seem to do the right thing and let them go between 12 and 14 weeks.
It is not that they have to stay until 12 weeks. That is just the consensus to optimize socialization. As you get to 10 weeks, then the number of breeders that place kittens starts up. You just want to make sure the kitten is not being placed "early" to avoid the expense of keeping him rather than the best interests of the kitten. So, placing kittens younger is a red flag and you have to decide how that fits in about how the kitten is raised and whether he is ready for a new home, recognizing that most breeders place at older ages for good reasons. I would worry most about six week olds or even 8 week olds.
Congratulations on your new Ragdoll girl. What is her name?
Thanks for everyone sharing in my excitment. I still can't beieve how good she is....I am considering the name Jolie Cotin (Pretty Doll) Haven't decided yet. I'll post pics soon.
