Jasper had his first show and was up against 13 other Ragdoll kittens. He behaved perfectly and I am so proud of him. He also got a fourth in breed. Jake retired from showing today as after his 3 month break we still think it is time he retired as he prefers to be home (pity because he only needed one more challenge to be a champion!). We got $45 worth of PetStock vouchers, 8 bags of 4oz EaglePack food and 2 bags of 3kg breeders choice litter (thanks to one of the breeders who gave us an extra one meaning we got 3). It was a fantastic show with great sponsoring (as you can see but the amount of product we got). We also got a nice little rosette.

I only remembered to get photos when we had already put the boys together in the one cage as they like to snuggle and unfortunately I only had my phone on me so they are blurry - yet again. Rolleyes

Comments given were great eye shape, placement and colour. Fantastic profile, head type. Beautiful texture of the coat. Nice colouring and markings. Supurb size. But his tail length let him down in the second ring otherwise I reckon he would of been up there in the placings because all other comments were positive. But oh well Im so proud he even placed at his first show at all!! Can you tell? Big Grin
congratulations.
its a shame u are going to retire jake only one more challenge and he would be champion.

they both look beautiful.
Great for you for letting Jake's comfort be your deciding factor. Some cats like it and some just do not and do not seem to be able to adjust to it.
Congrats to you Chloe and Jasper. I agree with JanH in commending you for considering Jakes comfort regarding showing him. Both of your kids are beautiful.
That's great news on Jasper. Sounds like he's definitely made for the show ring. Too bad about Jake, but he sounds like my two - I know neither of them would really like being out either.
Congratulations!!! to both Jasper and yourself!!
Congratulations, Cloe and Jasper! It's a lot of work to get ready for a show, so I'm glad you and Jasper were rewarded. Smile

And good for you for being sensitive to Jake's needs. Teddy's breeder often asks me why I don't show him. The reason is that he's a very nervous kitty (and it doesn't help that I'm a bit jumpy myself). While he might be beautiful to look at, I know he's easily stressed and wouldn't enjoy the process. So, I just take lots of photos and share those with everyone. Smile

Congratulations Cloe, and the boys![/u]
Congrats, Cloe!! I'm happy for you & the boys.
Congratulations Cloe, and too Jasper too. Jake sounds like Athena, she only made it to one show where she came second, only missing out on first because she was so distressed. She spent most of her day huddled in the corner of her pen underneath the blanket so she never went back again either. I guess some cats are just not meant for showing but we still know how stunning they are!!
