I've never seen a cat play fetch before. My kitten, Murphy who's around 17wks old now loves to play with a screwed up ball of paper and after a bit I worked out that he'd drop it at my feet and wait for me to throw it then he'll run pick it up, trot back and drop it at my feet again. If I'm doing something and ignore him he'll keep bouncing it off my feet trying to get my attention till I pick it up and throw it again. He can do this for ages.
I don't have a dog, and the breeder who I bought him from did not have a dog so I don't think he could have picked it up from anywhere so I was wondering if it was a raggy thing. It's really cute, especially when he's carrying it back to me with his head held high, paper ball in his mouth and a trot type of walk.

Yes it's a very common raggie trait! It's great when they keep bringing it back like Murphy does, just not so good when they run off with something they shouldn't have, like my car keys, and won't give them back!! Seems you have the good 'puppy' and I have the naughty 'puppy' lol.

I have heard of raggies doing this, but of course, neither of my girls will. I think it would be so cool!! I would love it!

Teddy will occasionally bring something back. Most of the time he just looks at the toy, and then at me as if to say, "You get it."

When I first got Mistral he did that all the time. Whatever I threw for him, he would fetch, but he doesn't now. Don't know why. If I throw something I have to go and fetch it myself!! Loved the videos.
