Hi Everyone,

Well, I went in and had the coloscopy done which was quite uncomfortable due to my tilted cervix along with the vinegar that burns like crazy. The doctor told me that my pap stated that I had severe dysplasia so he took a biopsy and I should know something in a week to two weeks. I have never had an abnormal pap but since my doctor thought I was low risk I had not had one for three years. Looks like I should have been having them yearly. I will keep you all posted on the findings and then what is to come next.

oh this must be a very scary time for you.
okay to the best of my ability i think dysplasia usually means abnormal cells which are not cancerous, thats a positive thing.

i really hope all is well. i imagine this next week or two will be extremely hard for you.

I am pleased that the procedure is at least behind you now Deb and will continue to keep you in my thoughts as you deal with the waiting.

I never heard of dysplasia is and if it is what Danni says then that does sound like a good thing'

Sending hugs to you Deb, sounds like you had a nasty time having the biopsy done. Sounds like you did youself a huge favour going for you test when you did.
