Well "Choco" aka "Hewey" is doing great! Even though I loved the name Baby Hewey he seems to know Choco already ... so be it! With him being a Chocolate Point it seems fitting and it's starting to grow on me. Oh well... I'll try to call him Baby Hewey for the next few days and see if it grows on him.

Didn't get much sleep last night. He was very verbal and just wanted to be loved on. How can I be upset about that! I would rub his belly and he would wrap his giant paws around my hand and pull it in closer. Litter box usage is good, have cat attract litter in there just incase. Slow with eating but that will come. His weight (per what I can tell with me on the scale) is about 9.2 pounds. If he is around 8 months I suppose that is good. I can't wait to see how big he gets with his paws being SO HUGE! They are half the size of my hand... NO JOKE!

Bogey is hissing a bit but Choco could care less. He isn't paying him any attention for his bad cattitude. I am giving run of the house only when I am home. He spent the day in the bedroom separated. He was SO happy when I came home. He talked to me for an hour telling me about his day Smile

Few more pics... he's still camera shy. Being as how I am a paparazzi in training he should get better over the next few weeks.

Purr Wishes....
He sounds wonderful!
I like the name Choco.
I like either name - and he sure looks big already. Look at that ruff he's already developed!! I'm glad to hear he is so settled in already. Thanks for the pics!
What a gorgeous boy! Finn had another name too, and it took about a week to change. I initially thought it'd be too hard for her to adjust, but I'm SO glad I changed it now. One tip I think I learned here -- combine the names for a few days and then he'll learn his new name quickly. So, call him "Choco Hewy" for a while, then you can start eventually drop the Choco part....
He is really beautiful!! I love both names too... My parents keep telling me I should have called Cyrano (a chocolate Birman) Chocolate as they liked that name better... Yeah well too late now...
Just see how it works best for him and you. Some names come easier than others and are easier to call.
Here Ebony Angel used to be called Angel by his breeder but he is no angel so I stopped calling him that and just kept Ebony. He still doesn't really answer the name but he is still young. And I love his new nickname Bobo Big Grin
He is so beautiful. I've always wanted a chocolate pointe but they are so rare. You are very lucky to have one! Choco is a very cute name and so is Hewey. He will probably be able to learn both! My ragdoll would not sleep by herself the first night either and she cried when I left her alone. So, now she is always on my bed which I actually love Smile I hope Choco and the other kitty start to get along, but it will probably take some time. This is a big change for your other cat.
