2 days wow. My Zeke recovered like the same day. I know Mykah will too who will go in next Tues. Wonder why vets all believe different and yet I think they all had to go to school and still do to learn new things and things that have changed. I know our vet does anyway. Weird...
Adonis did have an undescended testicle so had to wait until he was almost 9 months before he was neutered but Alfie was done at 6 months and it was a nightmare! When we got him home from the vets I let him out of the carrier only to push him straight back in and take him back to the vets. His back legs, tail and belly were bright red with blood and it was dripping from him! I was petrified! I called the vet to tell them I would be back with him and when the vet actually saw that he really was covered in blood as I had said I thought she was going to pass out. After investigation she put a stitch in and let him come back home but he was in a sorry state and took almost a week to revert to normal.

Of course, Adonis had no problems when it was his turn but I was extremely anxious for him all day. One of the reasons the vet gave for delaying his surgery though was that he was immature, as shown by his baby teeth! The vet actually said he couldn't be neutured because he still had baby teeth, rather than he couldn't be neutered because he had an undescended testicle!
WOW...my DIL's furbaby died when he had his done due to the quack who used too many antisetic or however it is spelled. Man I need my sp check. Then we later found out this was not his first death due to the same reason. They never went back to that one. I am so glad we have such a good vet and after surgery he will call that evening to see how it has gone. Yhe hardest part is trying to keep him somewhat still.
It is hard once going through something like that and it would put us all on needles and pins as we wait word.
Sorry you had to go through that as it is tough enough for us to deal with them in surgery let alone something like that.
If baby teeth was why then neither of the boys would have been done.
Now must go as these kiddos can sure get into alot when Nana is in another room. Thanks for sharing as it does help us all.
