Guys I need your help please !!!
I have my first litter from Sire and Dam both registered with TICA and CCA; my kittens are 3 weeks old . Can I fill out the litter registration when they are 8 weeks old so I could be sure about the color before I make any mistake !!! Or there is deadline to fill out this application - litter registration.
Also regarding the kittens vaccinations; I ask my vet to give them a vaccine for Feline Distemper; ( 4-in-1 that contains Chlamydia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia ). She said :
"Chlamydia is not a core vaccine. We only vaccinate for it if a catteryor feral community have been diagnosed with Chlamydia previously and itis an on going problem".
And she is going to give them 3-in-1 instead ( Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia ) only !!!
Do you guys think she right !!! Please advice me so I could go a head.

Your vet is correct about the 4-1. Chlamydia is not a core vaccine. We do not give it.
With TICA I believe you can send in the litter registration at anytime.
I use the distemper combo 3-1 vaccinations. With TICA you can register at any time but keep in mind it can take up to 6 weeks to get the registration and blue slips back. I would make sure of color, pattern, and gender prior to mailing out.
In general, Chlamydia responds well to medications, which the other three do not. That is another reason to go with the 3/1. (Good for your vet!)
We usually do not send TICA litter registrations until the kittens are about 7 weeks old. There is no deadline.
I got very ill and (thankfully my kitten owners understood) couldnt send in my registration papers right away for a couple of reasons 1) I was on bedrest, and 2) didnt have a credit card to do it over the phone or via fax. It took me about 6 months, but I gave the kitten owners lots of notice and they were thankfully quite patient about it.
NORMALLY I try to send it in by the time they're 8 weeks old.
On the subject of vaccinations; my baby recieved his Panleukopenia, FVR & Calci (3 in 1?) at 6 & 9 weeks. When we took him for his 3rd injection at 12 weeks, the vet declined to give him the 3rd shot. He received his Rabies only. Is this for the best?
You should avoid getting two shots at one visit for kittens. However, 3/1 shots should be on a 3-4 week cycle until the final kitten shot on or after 16 weeks of age. Then there will be a first annual booster a year later and then boosters can be three years apart.

Is it okay that she skipped the third vaccination of Panleukopenia, FVR & Calci? She scheduled him for his next visit in one year.
You should have shots on that cycle. If a shot is late, you just get it when you can. What was the age at the most recent 3/1 shot and age now?
He got his FVRCP on 7/1 at 6 weeks and on 7/22 at 9 weeks. When we took him for his third shot at 12 weeks, the vet told us he only needs the first two and the 3rd isn't necessary. Now he is 15 weeks old.
