I found a Rag Rescue here in Georgia. They have a 6 month old seal pointe that I am going to visit on Tuesday. He came from a show quality breeder (not that that matters) who had fallen ill and gave up 12 kittens. I've been told he has an awesome personality and is a huge hamball. About 8 pounds per her guess!!! She said everyone who came to see the kittens asked about him but he wasn't ready to go due to worms. Apparently this breeder gave her 25 cats to the two rescues with fleas!!! Can you believe that? Anywho, I am SOOOO excited and can't wait to see him. The breeder wanted him back for show and the group said NO... GO THEM!!! $160 dollars for a fully vetted and fixed care seems so cheap with him being purbred that I wanna write them a donation check. How much do you think I should give. I feel WAY better about giving them money then paying $700 for a kitten. What can I say.... I'm a rescuer.

WISH ME LUCK!!!!!
WISH ME LUCK!!!! (yeah I said it again)
oh good luck!! Do you think this new fella will get along better with your other cat??
I hope so Smile
Yeah. Hope all goes well. He sounds wonderful
If someone is so sick as to need to give up valuable pedigreed kittens, then that she might not have been able to treat for fleas and other parasites and could easily end up with flea infestations should not be shocking, particularly in Georgia.
I hope it all works out for you. Good Luck!
I will pray that things go your way! Smile
I too hope it all works out for you Smile
good luck!
Best of luck. Do we get to see a pic?
Good luck, I hope you both get a happy ending.

As far as a donation goes, I would say give as much as you can afford. All animal rescue services are so hard strapped for cash at the moment then anything they get will be much appreciated and used to help other cats in need.
I don't give cash to the rescue service, but I give food (wet and dry food)
