He sure is cute. Good luck with the name. I'm waiting on my little boy to come home the end of this month. He will be 10 weeks old Thursday and his name is Teddy. Welcome to the forum.

Congratulations on Duncan! The anticipation is amazing. Does my boy's coat look typical for 5 weeks...or a little shorter than some? (I'm hoping he'll grow to be long and fluffy and not sure if this is a typical 5 week kitten coat or a tad short?) I'll love him no matter what. Just wasn't sure if it was how most coats are at 5 weeks.

He is a looker and the hair will grow. It amazes me how each fur baby is so cute and yet so different. Thanks for sharing the picture. Oh you will find the right name and you will know it when you do. Just make sure we know..

He is gorgeous!! If you want his coat to get thicker and longer then he will need outside access such as a pen. Their coats can be shorter by genetics or because they are permanently indoors with central heating. I know my girls always come back from stud with thicker coats after being outside for just a week in the stud pen.

Your baby is a little doll. I just bet you can't wait to hold him and bring him home ")

thanks everyone! i'm not going to worry about the coat. does it actually LOOK a bit shorter than most babies at 5 weeks or am i imagining it? (i won't be upset if you tell me it's a little shorter than most; i promise. i'm just not sure if he's completely typical for his age and i'm imagining it or if it is a tad less fluffy than most)
i'm really looking forward to bringing him home!

I remember my little fella wasnt very fluffy to start with. He is a big bundle of fluff now at 11 months though. Especially with the colder weather. To me - your kittens amount of fluff looks normal. but it will definitely grow.
