The other evening, I was out. I came home, opened the door and got a good whiff of you know what. The smell was overwhelming. My husband tells me, he was lying in bed, Pepper came flying through the window and as he flew from the sill onto the bed, he figured out that Pepper had been skunked. Thankfully, Pepper must have managed to escape before being dowsed with the spray, as it only appears to be smelly on one side of his body. It's been 4 days now and the smell is discipating. I guess Pepper has figured out that he can't make friends with skunks. Hope he's learned his lesson!!
poor pepper! luckily he was speedy enough to avoid the full body "treatment" Smile
Oh dear, I hope Pepper has learnt his lesson and will steer clear of skunks in the future.
Oh what a stink he got into. I hope he remembers to be aware their smell is worst than their bark or whatever they do. I always heard use tomatos to get rid of it as my Pa as a child got skunked due to him being a naughty boy. He thought he could play kick ball the skunk. Needless to say my Pa lost and they had to wash him in tomatoes and threw his clothes away. My Pa was a stinker oops did I say that?

So glad it was not the full dose of stink or it may have been even more powering..Clothespin anyone?
I think I remember that happening once to my dog (actually three times) but anyways my mom bathed her in tomato paste. It removes the smell. Try that! Paste not sauce, probally the acid is what helps the smell. Good Luck LOL
Oh my! Poor Pepper!!
Poor baby! I hear that Nature's Miracle works as well. My labs got skunked once, not pleasant!
Pepper probably learned his lesson, and won't go near a skunk again. Smile

I think I read somewhere that dogs (the cute things) are the only animals that keep approaching skunks after they get sprayed once.
This was an old post, but of course, the way to avoid this totally is not to let your ragdoll outside unsupervised.
