Here he is -- mismarked in all his cute snugly glory . . . I picked him because he crawled up on me and started licking me and flopped in my arms, and he was a ham for the camera! The other brother would have nothing to do with me, and the sister kept running away down the hall. I can't wait to bring him home!

With his siblings . . . the middle one is a nicely marked male, the one on the right is a blue mitted female . . .

Too bad this one is blurry . . .

Sorry, but the one in the center is NOT nicely marked. It is difficult to match legs with kittens, but the right leg of the middle kitten, at the least, looks to have very uneven deep caping down the leg. The V is also too small.
That leg is from my new kitten . . . Plus, can't people just say they're cute and leave it at that? What's the deal here?

The kittens are adorable. I think that people are just concerned that you are possibly making a mistake by going with this breeder that was willing to let her kittens go at such a young age. Plus, all the other signs of being marked incorrectly. I don't know if you have been reading the other post but I think the majority of the people on here would walk away and find another breeder. Try to remember to lead with your head and not your heart. This was good advice given to me by my vet and I am so glad I listened to him. I now have a kitten that I love as much as the original one I wanted to purchase but without the health problem. Smile
Although I agree with what was written here and on the other thread, given that it seems like none of it will change your mind... I wanted to say that your chosen kitten is absolutely adorable. I hope that you have many healthy and happy years together.
Moggies are cute too and do not interfere with the Ragdoll breed. This is a Ragdoll board. One of its purposes is to educate about how to get a Ragdoll if that is what one wants. Otherwise, folks just stumble into these problems and find out later they have been taken. If one wants to go ahead after being warned, that is fine and hopefully all will work out well for the owner and for the kitten. However, posting that a cat is show/breeder quality when it is not just confuses those who really DO want a show/breeder quality kitten. Just as one must realize that one is usually not getting a Ragdoll at a shelter, one is not finding a kitten outside that is a Ragdoll and one is not getting a Ragdoll cheap and without papers, one must know which breeder practices should be supported and which should not.
Here is a somewhat better pic of the other kitten. He wasn't as much of a ham as Andy, but you can see his little feet match . . .

Esayer, A Course the kittens are adorable ;;;I think all babies are.
But you need to understand that the information given out on the forum needs to be correct information.
I'm here to learn as I'm new to the ragdoll breed myself and all tho mismarked kittens are fine sometimes I like them even better mismarked. My cello is mismarked but I'm not going to tell someone that he is a perfect example of a Blue bi-color rag that would be miss leading. If your breeder told you that is a perfect example of ragdoll ....Then that is another red flag for your breeder. This forum is trying to teach people how to pick a good breeders and what should send red flags .Where here to learn.Jan and some of the other people on this forum are very knowledgeable.
After all you won't want the blind leading the blind.
I sure hope that I haven't offended anyone
It is even worse than I thought. He does not have deep caping, but is a mitted bicolor - and a rather poor example of that. This is not showable AT ALL, so he cannot be "show" quality. That is what show quality MEANS - the kitten can be expected to do reasonably well if shown for championship. As for breeding, because of this mismark there is no way to know if genetically he is a mitted with a bad blaze or a bicolor with too little white. If the former, he can be expected to throw even worse blazes. (Any blaze that includes any nose leather is a DQ.) If the latter, then he can throw mitted kittens that seem to be colorpoints, for example. This is one reason mitted bicolors were abandoned. They present problems in controlling white in a breeding program and "muck up" the patterns - and control of white is an important goal in Ragdoll breed patterns.

(I still do not have a response on whether the kitten even has papers and, if so, the association.)
Are you trying to tell us that he is show/breed quality when clearly he isnt? Jan is a fantastic knowledgable breeder and you think you know better then him. Your just a buyer of a byb kitten. Im sorry but whether your breeder says he is show/breed quality or not, he is clearly NOT. You saying he is, is only going to make us think worse of this breeder because you say the breeder said he is. Bicolour should have fully white legs to be show quality not to mention his inverted V which is too small. Maybe we should get a photo and show you what a show quality bicolour REALLY looks like. I wish I could show you my Jasper, but he is a lilac (the lightest colour) and you can't see very clearly so I shall be off to find a nice dark show quality seal bicolour photo for you to see.
