Welcome! and the kitten is alittle doll! Good Luck. Smile
Hello! Welcome to the forum! Your kitten looks very sweet! SmileI have a number of dogs & cats, all purebred. Some are retired show quality, others are pet quality. I am not a breeder/shower, but even so I can tell when I am looking at an exquisitely bred animal. I believe in speaking the truth, & I fault breeders who portray their animals as something they are not. I have a retired alter Ragdoll cat who is a champion - he is absolutely stunning! My other Ragdoll cat is pet quality, & absolutely just as loved as my other, & very beautiful. I simply believe in saying what it is! My Great Dane is show quality as far as comformation goes, but he is a black merle, which is a DQ mismark, plain & simple. He is neutered & I never would have considered breeding him. Enjoy your kitty for the pretty little thing she is, but you also have to consider that you are supporting her breeder through your purchase, therefore you are not promoting the betterment of the breed.'
-To add one more thought - cost is a consideration as well. I paid much more for my show quality animals than I did for my pet quality ones. Breeders deserve to be compensated for their expertise & hard work to better their breeds.
He sure got dark! Looks like this thread was started a while ago lol. True that the kittens are not show marked, but they are nicely marked as in "cute" Tongue Love the video!
That is not a mismark (in my opinion no cat is ever mismarked) but a really beautiful, cute and cuddly little precious!!
Great video! Definitely a ragdoll sitting position.

I hope you do come back to the forum! I think that I definitely agree with everyone that getting a cat from a breeder who may or may not be responsible in when they let their kittens go home and what they say is "show" quality etc etc, is definitely important and if we were friends I would have told you to avoid this, but I think there is such thing as delivery/tact and maybe not everyone is the best at this. That being said, I know they all meant well and are experienced and do know best and were just trying to give you the best advice! You seem happy with your choice though and I am sure at this point you wouldn't have it any other way! I think you lucked out -- he is very cute! I just hope you realize no one meant to shun you away from the forum and definitely were in no way criticizing you!

Yes, very sweet & cute, but as I said before, it does the breed no good when you pay high prices for a show quality cat that is not.
