Hi

We have just brought our new kitten Cass home 4 days ago and he is settling in well with our resident cat Zoe a 7 month old girl, she also seems to be getting used to him and the hissing and growling has almost stopped, although they do play fight alot.Anyway just an hour ago Zoe came running to us meowing loudly then she was sick,it was yellowy frothy and about half an hour later she brought a little bit more up!!

As still being new to having a pet cat, what would you recommend, and how long would you wait before considering taking her to see a vet??Also could it be linked to the new kitten and she has been having a little of his dry food which she is not used too.

Thanks for any advice.
I'm sorry, other than calling the vet to ask what they think...but also, just to add to the picture, is Zoe eating normally, and does she seem to feel ok?
yes she has been eating normally, but since cass has been feed on different dry food off his breeder, i have been feeding him that and zoe is helping herself to it. She has just been in her litter and she also has the runs now..
Could it be from the excitement of a new one. I know we had to keep ours away from one another for about 2 weeks according to the contract. I would walk with them but did not let them play til vet checked them and also asked the breeder.

Has it stormed that she was afraid of? Anyway, I do not know a thing about it but just some ideas as to some reasons that maybe it could be.
Yes Paulagene it has been thundery all afternoon here in the UK so it could have something to do with that, she seems to have calmed down abit now( and so has the thunder) and she,s having a sleep on her perch so i hope thats the end of her being sick.I have also removed the new food which cass,s breeder gave us in his kitten pack so the only food down now is the dry stuff,s she,s used to and fresh water. Hope this works?
if i were you i would call the vet straight away and tell them what is going on.
there is no use to us 'speculating' what could be wrong. even talking to the vet nurses is always helpful.

that is what i would do.
I had a cat that any time it thundered he would do the same thing and did it til he passed in Feb. He was terrified of all storms. If it continues then ask the vet as it could be something more but I do know stress can make a mess of our bodies so why not cats too.
if i were you i would alarm the vet beeline abroad and acquaint them what is traveling on.
there is no use to us 'speculating' what could be wrong. even talking to the vet nurses is consistently helpful.
