Hello,
I am actively on the search for a ragdoll kitten. I have been talking to a breeder on Quebec Canada and have fallen head over heals for a little (4 month old) seal lynx mitted baby. She sent me a few pics, and i fell deeper in love. After agreeing to a fee, and the fact that she is driveing to the area ( nyc ) for a show, ( she also breeds yorkies) i will meet her for the pick up of my new kitten. While this discusion took place she alerted me to the fact that my little boy has an eye that is a "deeper blue" than the other eye. I dont mind, i am not showing or breeding. Is this possible in a ragdoll? She says that her kittens are registered, but of course in Canada. I am attaching a picture and if anyone can answer me i would greatly apreciate it.

You should talk to your vet about it, since eye color can have a medical cause, although I do not recall reading of that affecting only one eye.
Aww she is adorable!I didn;t think it matters. There are people with one eye lighter then the other.
She is a cutie pie!
I'm sure Jan will comment and let you know for sure as I;m no expert.

I will, but i am going to get the little guy next weekend, i do not have him yet. I was trying to stop my self from getting into
" a mess" before i got him home. I am fine with loseing my deposit, but i am not fine with takeing home a cat that may have eye problems or that is not a ragdoll. I just lost my little girl Maine Coon
( she was 15) and would like to start off with a healthy, happy kitty. I really appreciate the answers.

I am so in love with this little guy already.
Well the breed standard in both Canada and the US states that a purebred ragdoll is supposed to have two blue eyes. It does not however state that both eyes must be the same shade of blue. Do some research on the breeder, and see if they're reputable or not. If they are, the kitten could just be an oddball (pardon the pun lol) with two different shades of eyecolor. He might grow out of it, he might not. Either way, its very unique.

Yes, he looks like a purebred to me, but only a cat that's registered can be proven to indeed be a purebred.
I have tried to search and research the breeder online but only come up with her website. Is there a place i can go to search for breeder's info?

Thank You,
Lexi
Ask your breeder for references such as her mentor, her vet, and other kitten buyers. Her vet and the people who own her kittens will give you the most valuable information. Things to ask them is stuff like "have you ever had problems with her?" or "does she really stand by her guarantee?"

since she shows, ask other breeders as well, here in Canada I find that breeders are always willing to help other breeders out.
