So sorry to hear about Sassy - what an awful thing to happen. At least she would not have been in any pain - but still what a terrible shock for you.

I want to thank you all for your lovely thoughts and support.
It's early days and there's not a moment I don't think of her, when she would come up to me, put her paws on my chest and kiss my nose. You can forgive her all her mischievousness for that one brief moment. I can understand the shock a lot of you have felt, you have watched her grow up and shared in her antics.
The vet said she was very healthy and not a mark on her to indicate any injury. The exertion of chasing the bird was just too much for her heart. Knowing the why? has been a help in accepting she's gone but still a shock for it to happen in one so young.
The house does seem to be missing something, she was such an in your face cat. Dusty has been very quiet, she was lying next to Sassy when she passed away. She has been off her food but started eating again today. Belle has been looking for her then came into call yesterday and has been trying to seduce the puppy since, even Rosie spent the first 24 hrs looking for her. She is sorely missed by us all.
