Remember Puff Apollo was getting matted- well, he has an appointment with a groomer, to hopefully correct that. afterwards, I will brush him daily and avoid the problem. apparently, it costs $85.00 to be groomed! He better look good. I will let you know.
Does anyone else use a groomer?
Judy and Puff
Smile We don't use groomers.....however, I know someone who does....it's sad because they let their raggies get sooooooo terribly matted before they groom them, then they shave them! ARGH Makes me want to cat-nap them!
We brush Puff but the matting just happened a few weeks ago- we tried to cut it out- but I feared hurting him. thematting does not brush out. I am not sure why this is happening since his is 1 year old and we never had this problem before. It must hurt just like knots in your hair and you try to brush them out. He has such a beautiful coat- i how they don't shave him- I will meet with the groomer to discuss the plan of care.
thanks for your response. Judy
Or groomers here are about 45.00 they told us but who knows. Good luck
They might just shave the mats out for you and not "groom" him and charge you a lot less. Might want to discuss it with them since that is really all you want done.
Yeah should definately make it clear what's going to be done beforehand, having got my long haired Tibetan Terrier back from the groomer she looked like a Staffordshire Bull Terrier!!!! it was quite a shock, but my fault because I didn't make it clear what I was looking for, thankfully she is growing in now.
hope all goes well !!
