Jen, after mentioning your garden, I was thinking -- we should share what's blooming in our yards and gardens!! Sorry for our members in Australia who are approaching winter, but maybe the pics we share will make you feel more "springy". So come one -- everyone post -- what's growing in YOUR garden?

I'm not sure what this was -- I bought seed and planted this year, but forgot to save the package. But I"m proud of myself -- I grew it from seed!!

Wow. absolutely gorgeous.
in my climate only flowers that tolerate alot of sun and heat all the time grow. palms are very prominant.
i would have to say i love frangipani's though gorgeous.

Lovely pics, Teresa. I live in an apartment so I can't have a garden. I have a few pots usually with pansies but not this year. Everything here has to be heat tolerant. The temps in the summers are usually 100 to 115 degrees it just fries everything. Right now we are having a cool wave it's been 85 to 90 degrees. It's been wonderful and I hope it stays a very long time!!

The only thing growing in my front garden at the moment is weeds, lots of them
The fruit in pots at the back are doing well except Rosie ate the strawberry plants at the bottom of the strawberry tower and the bunnies got to my mint and chives - so you see I do have to get the jobs done otherwise the dog and bunnies will eat everything

Lovely photos Teresa!! All that I have in my very small front garden is some iris which are just visible from the lounge as they are right up by the window. Every evening I have cats congregating on the windowsill trying to catch the bees and flys that are outside!! LoL

What beautiful pictures... I too dont have a garden but I sometimes help Lynda out in her garden, and even though I dont like gardening, I have had a few enjoyable afternoons pottering around in Lynda's garden.

Altho my garden's not brilliant at the monent, I do have one happy event to announce. Our five year old Yukka (I think it's a yukka) has suddenly decided to flower. It looks very odd, as if someone has just plonked some flowers in the middle of it, at a bit of a jaunty angle:



In fact hubby Dave thought I was playing a prank and tried to pull it out but close inspection assured him it was part of the plant.



The buds were purple in colour so I thought it would be purple flowers, but no, they're beautiful delicate white flowers:



Apologies to those of you to whom this is an everyday occurance, but to us, non-gardeners it's a blooming miracle!!
