Adorable maybe to look at but at 5am this morning something woke me and yet again another electric wire being chewed. My electric blanket wire. OMG. I haven't told my husband as he has enough on his plate today without this. I think it needs looking at... JJ is a nightmare. I must post about this 'game' of his as it is proving to be extremely expensive and getting me down.
Oh dear JJ - what are we going to do with you!!!!
Nevertheless, JJ is adorable. I thought chewing wires was a kitten habit...
Chewing wires is 'supposed' to be a kitten habit. He NEVER did this as a kitten, he has only started this since Christmas just gone and he is 2 years old tomorrow.
Oh boy!! Frankie used to try for the wires, but seems ok now he is bigger. I thought that would be the end of it, but JJ's antics have me worried he might start again!! He is such a gorgeous boy though! Must be difficult to get mad at him!
Oh JJ, you are gorgeous. Re: the wire chewing, I'm lucky the somewhat neurotic Teddy has so far (knocking on wood as I type this) steered clear of that habit. But he does love to chew cardboard and paper, as well as metal every once in awhile. As strange as it sounds, I wonder if it's something cats do to calm themselves. A friend at work says her cat chews on the towels in the bathroom!
Hi Lynda, JJ was an absolutely adorable kitten - now he is simply is gorgeous. As for the chewing wires.... try finding a deterrent called 'bitter apple' it usually comes as a pump spray bottle and is used for keeping puppies from chewing all and everything - you could try this for a cat too - the taste is horrible!
JJ's got the same cat bed as Maia and Lily ~ the soft 'duvet' one with the cats on it. Was it your branch of the CPL that were making them Lynda, or did you buy it at the Supreme? They're fab aren't they? They wash really well and Maia and Lil love them ~ we bought two.

JJ is gorgeous~ the kitten pics are so sweet.

Thankfully Lil grew out of chewing wires ~ I'm hoping it won't start up again, but you've got me worried now Wink

Hi Jen
The cat beds (I had to look to see which one you meant as I have so many beds all around the house). I buy them at all the cat shows I go to, I have 6 of those that you mention. I also have a small quilt and a large quilt from the same stall. They do wash lovely as they are stitched in the corners they don't loose their shape. They have recently gone up in price though and so won't be buying more for a while.
As for the wires... JJ never looked at them til about 6mths ago, and now just fanatic about any wire. I have them all covered with cushions, books or anything. I do hope for your sake tha Lily doesn't start up again. It is worrying and expensive.
Thank you for the comments on JJ. He is a darling. If only he didn't have the kink in the end of his tail I would show him too. He is adorable.
