Ruthann I loved the Time Travellers Wife, it took me a wee bit to get into it but it was worth it I loved it! I love Harlan Coben too, have you read any of Joy Fielding's she is also good, See Jane Run was her first one, that was a real mystery, and if you enjoy Patricia Cornwell then you will love Karin Slaughter, give her try! I'm like you I'll read anything, I can't 'not have a book on the go'. And I too love Harry Potter, I haven't read the final one yet, I want to read it but then it will be over

I've read some of Karin Slaughter's and like her, I've also read the Inkheart series, but not seen the movie - have you Ruthann?
My niece just e-mailed me again to let me know she finished the Twilight series and wants to know when I'm going to read it because (I quote) "i need someone to gossip with. holy crap that was awesome! wooo!" Danni - I'll let her know about going to Stephanie Meyer's website to read about whoever Edward is.
Anita, I've read See Jane Run and that was really good.
Anyone do Thomas Perry's Jane Whitefield Series? Or Lee Child's Reacher Series? Or J.A. Jance's JP Beaumont series?
I read constantly, sometimes having to re-read books because my local library is tiny and I have most of the ones that appeal to me.
Recently I have read The Gift by Cecelia Ahern, Divas Don't Knit and Needles and Purls by Gil McNeil, Cujo by Stephen King, Missing by Susan Lewis and Mercy by Jodi Picoult.
My current library books are Songs of the Humpback Whale by Jodi Picoult (the only book of hers that I have not yet read) and The Bodies Left Behind by Jeffery Deaver.
I have read all of Jeffery Deaver's, Dan Brown's and Val McDermid's books at some point over the past 5 years and most of stephen King's.
Every now and again I read a light-hearted chick-lit by Katie Ffjorde, Jill Mansell or Sopie Kinsella and I am always dipping into my knitting books such as Sharon Miller's Heirloom Knitting, Jane Sowerby's Victorian Lace Today and Meg Swansen's A Gathering of Lace.
I love books, I read all of the time and have piles of them all over the house but the one thing I hate is reading a book and then watching the film, the characters never fit with my imagination and the plot never quite fits the book. The worst example of this has to be The Bone Collector by Jeffery Deaver, I don't think any of the characters in the film fit the original ones in the book.
Has anyone ever read The Dogs of Babel? If you haven't, don't. It will ruin your life. lol, I loved it but it sent most of my friends into a deep depression. I'd recommend it (maybe I do!), but usually people get mad at me after they finish it.

I'm a big fan of Kate Jacobs "Knitting Club' books...there are 2 and I understand that she's working on a 3rd.
Apart from her Knitting Club books, there's also "Comfort Food" which I'm trying to read in-between my needlepoint projects....where did I ever find the time for work? LOL
so all this reading talk made me crave some new novels so i went to my local libraries and heres what i got
The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult
No choice but seduction by Johanna Lindsey
Fly me to the moon by Alyson Noel
Ps, I love you by Cecilia Ahern (iv seen the movie so i can compare which is better)
anyone read any? Or Miss T have u heard of these?
i really wanted My Sisters Keeper. apparently thats a great book, many of my co-students love love loved it.
TeresaK Wrote:I LOVE Harry Potter. I was so sad that the series ever ended...I felt like I was losing touch with some good friends. Enjoy them! Have you seen the movies yet? I can't wait for the Half-Blood Prince that comes out in July!!
I am so obsessed with Harry Potter atm! I first fell inlove with the movies, but then a friend said the books are even better - so now im totally inlove with the books, but mad at the movies for not having some of the best parts!
I cant wait for it to come out in Australia - going on the first day haha
I am also secretly inlove with Tim Felton - the guy who plays Draco Malfoy in the movies .. *dreams*
A must read book is "Oryx and Crake" by Margaret Atwood - so so so good ! She's a literature writer, but the way this lady describes things is perfect - she really sets the scene.
Danni - I haven't read any of those books. I keep meaning to read some of the Picoult books as my boss at work raves on them and can never wait for the next one to come out. I used to read Johanna Lindsey but haven't read anything from her in along time. I'm sorry to say, the other two I haven't even heard of.
Does anyone remember, or heard of Kathleen Woodwiss' "Flame and the Flower" -- I think I read that in high school about 20 times and I'm sure that's why the name Heather became so popular!!
Anyone download audiobooks?
Danni - I have read The Tenth Circle, P.S. I Love You and My Sister's Keeper.
P.S. I Love You is much better in book form in my opinion and both that and My Sister's Keeper had me in tears while I was reading them so be warned!!
