A great addition to this wonderful forum,
I think is is good to have a general area to any topical forum,
A place we can get to know each other in other areas,

So a bit about me,

My hobbies are:
Gardening, music, building and tinkering with things, model radio control aircraft (a hobby I share with my son)
I have a home music studio and dabble with guitar and keyboard and compose/re-make music using digital techniques,
I love cars too,
I collect old things, mostly old valve radios and tape recorders, gramophones etc,

My passions after my raggies of course are:
My partner and my gorgeous son,
My extended family ,
The family home, a hobby and passion we all share as a family,
Am passionate about rainwater harvesting and being self sufficient,

Some things that I am not big on and can bore me:
Slow action sports, I dont mind sharing a fast game of footy with family as a social event like a grand final but sport can bore me sometimes,
TV in general, I rarely watch it,
Dont like talking politics much,

Some things I loath (or hate if I can use that word):
Dishonest people, liars, cheats and people that take advantage of others when vunerable,
Loud over confident people that bully, puff there chests and power down on others,
Hot weather like 40 Degrees C
Being conned or hoodwinked,

Some other things I love:
Nice food and wine (seafood is my fav, love lamb racks and roasts too), not many foods i dont like actually,
I mentioned music,
Autumn and winter, (love those seasons)
Good conversation, (as you may tell by my post ,I like to talk),
Camping/travelling (rough or caravanning),


Some added info:
My fav colour is Blue but my fav combination of colours is deep red with cream,
My fav raggie colours are the seals but do love them all,
My fav musical instruments are the guitar and piano but love all instruments, (especially when somebody better than me is playing them)
My fav car is the Ferrari, but I dont have one, "maybe one day"
My fav home style is traditional/federation/colonial (ours is Australian colonial) 1920,s into 30,s

I have a lovely partner Carol with whom I share a gorgeous son Joshua who is 12 years old,
Carol and I have been partners for 23 years,
Carol is still my best friend,
I am 44 and Carol is 52,

We own an RV repair/service family business so thats what feeds the family and supports our hobbies and loves,

So thats basically me, Geez I can talk sometimes, sorry for the long post dear friends,

Ummm hobbies.... outside of cats... I could say hoovering given how much time I spend hoovering after the cats but I hate doing it so thats not much of a hooby. I love to read and will demolish a book in a day or two because once I start reading I get impatient as to what happens next. I also love puzzles and have a nintendo ds that I will spend hours on doing cross words, or suduko. I also spend a lot of time doing voluntary work for Cats Protection but thats cat related. And with work on top of that, I dont have much time left other than for sleep which I love!!

Hobbies...
Not in any particular order at all.
Reading, gardening, Jigsaw Puzzles (but not with 3 raggies in the house!!), playing games on my DS, Theatre (but so expensive that I don't go often now), I used to do a lot of Cross-Stitch and if I had more time would probably try to do some again, horse-riding, spending time with my best friend!

Well what a topic...

as much as I do love my furbabies I do have other interests.

My number one interest is puppetry. As many know I do direct a christian puppet team and next week we have 4 performances frid and Sat.

I also love to take pictures and scrapbook. I love to read books mainly christian novels or mysteries nothing naughty tho. I enjoy being a stay at home Nana and get to watch 2 of my grandchildren through the summer and one during the school year. It can be trying and I vent to a friend but hey I would have it no other way. I love to write stories and skits for myself except the skits we do perform or as I say minister to or with.

I am a shy person and do not meet people very well in person but on the internet I can talk or is that write.

My dislikes are:
People with naughty mouths continuous. Braggers all the time. Dishonest or liars. Those people who come across as know it alls. Those who make others feel belittled.

I guess I could go on but hey that is enough as I tend not to let many people into my world and why? People do scare me. Oh I have a terrible fear of going over bridges..

Now better go and great topic. Maybe we can have a different one each week..
