What have you bought where your choice has been restricted because of your cats?
For example, I went shopping with my Mum for a new quilt cover for my bed. Each beautiful quilt cover was discounted - too dark, will show all the fur; beaded, cats will chew the beads; embroidered, cats will get their claws caught in the threads.........and so the list went on. My Mum, who has never owned a cat, couldn't believe how difficult it was to find a suitable quilt cover that I actually liked!!
So, come on, is anyone else as awkward to please?
I buy whatever spread I like. hehe. Maybe Im a bad fur mommy.
I have thought about not buying my daughter that bird she wants because of my kitties. Does that count?
Any flowers I get have to be highhhhhhhhh out of reach whereas I used to like putting them on the table.
I always want to put off holidays or come home early cos i miss my babies...
Does that count.
I drive my partner crazy by telling him i miss my little pickles
I haven't bought leather furniture I'd like to have because of the girls -- just can't bear to think of the cat claws in it when they are having their cat crazies!!
We have given up our vacation in order to get the second baby does that count. I do own a leather office chair but keep a blanket on it when I am not in here as I learned with my other cats they can put holes and scratches in them. They are our babies so I would give up anything for them. Now maybe I can go get Mykah now. We plan on going to go get him during vacation if possible. It might be 2 or 3 days early but hoping anyway.

Oh all the time lol.
Things we cant buy include but are not limited to are:
- crazy-quilts that have strings on them (strings will get eaten, and quilt will be ruined)
- anything leather
- toys that are easily carried off by cats
- pens with the "soft-grip" thing on them (cats will eat the gripy thing)
we found out during the baby shower that we cant have streamers cuz George (not so much the others) wanted to eat them lol. He managed to eat some of it but barfed it up later... lovely.
Hmm good questions... I have no plants at home because of Diwan's allergies... Every time I buy anything new to clean the house (bleach, softener, etc.), I read the label about a 100 times because of that too.
Basically there isn't a thing I currently buy where I don't think about the risks for Cyrano with his PICA or Diwan and his allergies. Well I only furkids so... they come first.
And of course no vacation since I have them. Not that I really mind
I'm like Elicia, no plants as I fear what may drop on the floor they'll find the pieces before mama and eat them and my favorites seem to be toxic to furkids. We've never had a vacation since we've always had furkids, tho we have found a housesitter in case of emergencies, but that's not a vacation! I've not bought a curio cabinet to display my precious memories. I've had a collection of hummels I've not unpacked in over 20 yrs because I'm afraid they'll break them even in a curio cabinet. My kids were huge jumpers and they were like the little train that could, and they would. I'm sure more will come to mind........lol. I consider these small sacrifices for the priviledge of being loved and owned by felines. The only thing I'd change is that all of my kids over the years could still be with us.
