Charlie is in need of financial sponsors. Charlie is a handsome, loving, dignified purebred boy who came to the rescue in October 2008. Charlie was anxiety-ridden over the loss of his human guardian, and within a few days, he began showing signs of ill health. He was treated for several infections, and all of his remaining teeth needed to be extracted. By December 2008, we found that Charlie was battling diabetes, kidney failure, and arthritis, and our vet thought that Charlie would not live to see the New Year. Charlie surprised us all by making a mild recovery, although he is now insulin-dependent and entirely incontinent. Despite all his medical troubles and the indignity of wearing "kitty diapers", Charlie remains one of the sweetest and most devoted kitty companions ever. He is a gentle father figure to all the other foster kitties, and a wise and comforting friend to his foster mom. Due to Charlie's fragile health, we have decided to keep him at the rescue as a permanent sanctuary cat.
