Well as most of you know that have a TV, we had bad fires in Santa Barbara last week. We had to leave our apartment on Thursday afternoon and we went to an empty house that is owned by an elderly woman I know (she is now in a nursing home.) We cordoned off the cat in an area of the house and he was not too happy and then we could not find him and I was sure he must have slipped outside as we were bringing a few things in. We looked and looked and even went around outside. And then I saw a tuft of fur sticking out the bottom of an old fashioned counsel TV. I don't know how he squeezed in there, it was a little gap and he's a big cat!
About 3 in the morning the sherrif's department woke us up and ordered us to move again (all hell broke loose with the winds that night and we had not gone far enough) so we then drove to a relative's home about an hour away. Sage did mostly OK but for some reason he refused to drink so we put him on a light diet of wet food only and he was quite constipated. (But he was perfect with his litter box for #1.) We were allowed back home tonight and within half an hour he laid down a good one. Success! So he went 3 days without going, I was getting concerned and was planning something drastic for him soon.
Anyway, all is well for everyone at our house, although our town sure has some recovery to go through. And we are all sick of the fires, this is our 3rd one in less than a year.
