I am looking to adopt a ragdoll kitten or young adult for a family that includes 2 fun loving older cats, 2 dogs and 2 parrots. We are very conscientious about our pet's health, and love them all dearly.

The new addition will be a birthday present for my partner (his big 4-0!), and he has always wanted a ragdoll.

We do NOT want a cat for breeding purposes, and cannot pay hundreds of dollars. (I know they're worth it, but I still don't have it.)

If anyone has a ragdoll for adoption, please contact me at rcduncan@me.com

Thanks!
You can try a Ragdoll rescue, keeping in mind that without papers they are probably not purebreds and cats that look like Ragdolls are -not- Ragdolls nor are they guaranteed to have any Ragdoll characteristics. Breeders sometimes sell retired breeder/show cats, but depending on the breeder they may ask the cost of spay/neuter or they may ask $150-300 (based on what I have seen). Ragdoll kittens, in the US, usually cost $650-900 for pet quality. They do not come any cheaper. If you find one for less, it is not a Ragdoll and you're being scammed and it's absolutely foolish to pay hundreds of dollars for a mixed breed, while supporting some backyard breeder.

Well stated Chrysee!
Some of my friends are have ragdoll kittens for sale. The mother is a full breed ragdoll but the father isn't so the price won't be very high. You should find the ad here:

Sorry but that is sad.

Even assuming the story about the mother is true (and there is no reason to assume that), the kittens are moggies and certainly should not be expensive. One also will not have a Ragdoll.
Oh my gosh, that link breaks my heart --- it looks like a group of back yard breeders selling "presumed" ragdolls.
You're right, that is just plain sad, and misleading.
Have your tried http://www.petfinder.com ?
