I was thinking a place for Ragdoll Rescue would be great, along with a place to list some of the Ragdolls and Ragdoll wannabees around the area, in hopes that there will be some that will want to adopt these wonderful younger or older adults. There are many benefits to rescuing, and many benefits to rescuing an adult vs. a kitten.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Do you think a section on the forums would be sufficient where a picture and description could be posted? Maybe we could seperate between ragdolls/wannabees needing to be adopted and successful rescue stories.
What do you think?

I think this would be a great idea. I am a member of Ragdoll Rescue, and many are not of a purebreed, but usually are a pointed cat, called a Ragdoll. There are also some owner surrenders that do have the registration papers, to prove the lineage, it appears Ragdoll Rescue uses Petfinder, so we could do this for example.
Title: Possible Ragdoll in Oklahoma
Message: There is a 6 year old possible Ragdoll or possible Ragdoll mix in Oklahoma, if someone is interested in giving an adult a home, please click here. She is a Seal Lynx Pointed cat, needing a nice quiet home.
Oklahoma Petfinder Seal Lynx Pointed cat
Could you be that person?
If someone notices a Ragdoll or a Ragdoll wannabe in their area, they can do a courtesy post, and is possibly can help with finding that cat, Ragdoll or not a good home.
A picture in most cases can be provided by clicking on the link, but there may be circumstances of a cat returned to a breeder, where in that case, a picture could be placed with a bio of the personality and circumstances.
Thank you for the consideration of this idea.

Excellent idea, and consider it added to the forums when I get some time. The site is really starting to get some traffic so I want to add helpful resources like this.
The new section has been added...this was a good suggestion, let me know of any others you have!

Hello Stormi

I think your idea is great for your area. Here in Dubai we have many stray and unwanted cats - kind hearted residents do what they can but its an ongoing battle to keep the population down. I adopted 2 'gangstas' as we call them and they are in good condition, had all their jabs etc and of course neutered. I feed any strays that come visiting. I cant resist to help. Regarding Ragdolls, i dont know anyone else who owns one but i am sure there are a few. Our 'boy' is just 5 months old and growing fast - he is so loveable. Purrs all the time. Good luck with your idea. bfn. S

They do grow fast, don't they?!?!

Admin already approved the idea, and you can place in Ragdoll rescue's that you are know of. I understand about feeding the strays, and then trapping and spay and neutering them, otherwise there will just be more. I feel a responsibility to doing something, and to educate as many as I can about the benefits of spay and neutering their animals.
