Hi again everyone,
Thought I would post some photo's of Missy - she's a shelter rescue and even though she isnt a ragdoll i thought id include her because she is apart of my little cat empire.
She joined our family a week ago and has finally gotten along with Humphrey, Humphrey thought he was too good for her so kept snobbing her or hitting her .. but finally there best of friends

!
Sorry for the photo's being a bit blurry shes still a bit timid around people and new things so I didnt want to stress her out too much by chasing her with a camera haha ..

Awww she's a cute girl - love her colouring!
She has such a pretty face. Thank you for finding a place in your heart for a rescue. I have a chihuahua that I rescued 14 years ago. She's starting to show her age now so I don't know how much time I have left with her. She was very timid around people for the first few years and now she thinks everyone is around to pay attention to her!!

I went to the shelter thinking of adopting an older cat, but was told I couldnt because Humphrey was so young and was told to get something a bit closer to his age. Missy was sitting in a small corner of a big cat cage with a lot more other kittens, all the people looking for a kitten in the shelter were paying attention to the baby kittens rather than a 5 month old ginger/white cat hiding in the corner (Missy). As soon as I walked in the cage she ran towards a cat tunnel near my feet and pounced through the hole to smack me - that was when I knew she was for me. Has the exact same spunk !
She's slowly opening up but still finds it hard to trust people. I was told she was found in a box on the side of the road as a little baby, she was taken in by some people who wanted to give it to their teen daughter, but the daughter didnt like the kitten once it got bigger and because she was "not so cute" anymore, she was given up to the shelter .. poor thing

still makes me sad !
Its always good to rescue a shelter pet - especially ones who know you really need to know someone cares about them ..
I don't know why they would think she wasn't cute. She is a beautiful cat. I like cats that don't have the regular colors you see all the time and I would have been drawn to her too. From her expression in the picture she has a sweet spirit. She reminds me of my sister's two cats she rescued from a house after Hurricane Katrina. Thanks for sharing her.

I think she's beautiful, and you've done a wonderful thing by getting Humphrey a playmate and rescueing a special girl who needed your love. I hope they have many wonderful years together with each other and you.
