Hello Smile
well we are getting a new male for our stud boy as Jett's heart murmur is pretty bad and we have been advised not to breed with him as he will pass it on Sad we so wanted him to be ok but yeh its not getting any betterSad
so our breeder we got him off has offered us a new boy a blue bicolour Smile no charge and we get to keep jett as well.. he is about 3 months old and will be coming home to us in a few weeks ... so hopefully this boy is ok he has a clean bill of health but we will be taking to our vet when he gets home just incase and yeh he will be going back if things arent good b4 i get to attached.

now as for jett we are keeping him and going to get him steralized just hope hius heart will be ok while he has op as I dont want to lose my boy Sad... has anyone has had a cat with a heart murmur that has had this op?? any advice would be great

thanks Tania
My cat Lissy has a heart murmur which is in the medium range and she did fine during her spay surgery. She was about 5 month old at the time. She is 4 1/2 years old now and is doing great despite the murmur. I am sure your little boy will be fine, since neutering a male is not as invasive. Good luck to both of you !
How loud is the murmur and has he been scanned to determine the cause? The surgeon will need to know of the condition to take it into account and it may increase the risks of surgery somewhat, but most murmurs are not so bad as to make neutering inappropriate.
Tania, I don't have any advice, but I did want to let you no that I hope things go well jett.
