I am trying to upload a photo of Gussie, I just can't get it small enough. In the meantime, she is playing but running and hiding if I try to pick her up. Now the first of MANY questions. Her litterbox is in the Master bath, and she is playing throughout the mbedroom. She meowed three times in a row, with a different sound that I'd never heard. When I went over, she didn't move, waited for me to pick her up, and she had urinated on the floor. This distressed her. I cuddled her and put her in the litterbox, then washed her paws, and off she went. Should I periodically pick her up and put her in the litterbox? Is this normal to forget in the heat of playing? Random incident, or should I be doing something? She has been using the litterbox regularly since we got home. This seemed to be a uh oh moment. Any advice? Thanks.
It could be that she just waited too long before making her way to the litterbox. I think picking her up periodically and putting her in it is a good idea. If you do that and still find that she's using the floor, then she'll need a vet check (usually required within 24 to 48 hours after getting a kitty from a breeder anyway) to rule out a uninary tract infection -- possibly from the stress of moving to a new house.

(I'll keep my eye out for those pics!!)

Thanks Teresa. The rest of the day she has been fine. Too much playing!
