[attachment=764]Hi All, I haven't been here for a long time! Fun to read up on all the posts!
Anyway, my Sam is about 1 and 1/2 years old now. He is about 11-12 pounds, so he's not a very big Ragdoll. I know they take awhile to mature, but still think he is on the small side. What do you think? I do think his main or ruff has grown. It's just gorgeous and puffs out all around.
And oh boy, what a flopper. He flops down everywhere, right in front of you, and you just have to rub his tummy. When we pick him up, he is sooooo limp. I could drag him along the floor like a mop and it would take him awhile to protest. His favorite position is in our arms like my avatar. He just falls and plops right into place.
He likes to sleep between the covers with us, but he is in and out.
He LOVES his buddy Lucky our 7 year old black lab and follows her everywhere. Lucky is still not sure about Sam as our previous cat was very finicky. We are always tickled when they are sleeping near each other, Sam sometimes with one paw stretched out to touch Lucky. Which leads me to another quirk. Sam always sits/lays, with one arm stretched out. Anybody else like that?
We think he is just a tad crossed eyed.
He doesn't play much. Not like other cats I've had. He will bat a toy around for a minute or two, and then be done. But likes to charge at Lucky!
He follows us everywhere and has to be around us. Tho it's rare for him to cuddle on our laps. Will this get better as he gets older?
He is always sitting on the toilet when I get out of the shower. Always has to be on the counter when I dry my hair, but doesn't want it to blow on him.
The only time he really meows is when Lucky gets to go outside for her breaks. Sam really voices his protest when Lucky gets this privilege!
Well, sorry to be rambling on and on. We just think Sam is coolest cat we've ever known. A friend would love to get a Ragdoll, but knows there would never be one with his personality.
Thanks for letting me share!
