A feral kitten adopted us summer a year ago. Our 13 yo daughter gained his trust over a 2 week period when he came to us squalling because he was starving at 10 wks. We felt we would be lucky to be able to handle him occasionally. Although he has the opportunities to go outside when he wants, Sox prefers to stay inside most of the time.

He is a tuxedo cat, with short shiny black fur. Saw the show on Ragdoll Cats on Animal Planet. If it weren't for his short fur, the personality of the Ragdoll fits Sox to a T. Are all Ragdoll Cats long-haired?

Sox eats as much as he wants. Is perfectly healthy. He's long and lean, about 18 months old. But he's not as big as the Ragdolls get either.

Did we just luck out? Is he part Ragdoll? Any thoughts? Ideas?
He sounds like a wonderful, loving cat - and many non-Ragdolls are. ; )

Ragdolls are longhaired and, even if he were longhaired and pointed, it is not likely that your cat would have any Ragdoll behind him.

Many people get Ragdolls because they have had a moggie who had one or another Ragdoll characteristic that they want to repeat, particularly temperament.
Sometimes I think my moggie outdoor tuxedo cat is more Ragdoll-like than my ragdoll cats!!
