Atrus has been shedding like crazy lately. Otherwise everything else seems normal. Is this a bad sign or just because of the weather?

Higher shedding is usually because of the temperature going up where the cat is, but a cat may "blow" his coat at any time and will shed more then. Sometimes illness will result in a blown coat, but one would expect other signs in those cases - like lethargy or signs of a UTI or URI.
